STAY INVOLVED

The 2022 HOBY West Virginia Leadership Seminar will be held Thursday, May 19 through Sunday, May 22 at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Ambassadors will receive information regarding the Seminar schedule in the spring.

COVID UPDATE: We are actively planning a return to an in-person seminar for summer 2022. We are so excited to return to campus this summer after two years in a virtual format. That said, COVID-19 is still at large and to help keep our ambassadors, seminar staff, volunteers, and all invested parties safe HOBY West Virginia is requiring proof of vaccination for all in order to attend or participate in the seminar. Please be aware, HOBY West Virginia is unable to provide any refunds for fees paid if ambassadors change their mind or are unable to attend for any reason, regardless of covid. This applies to staff fees as well.

Details surrounding logistics are still being finalized so check back for updates periodically. For any immediate needs regarding recruitment or questions about the seminar, please contact Zach Morris, Leadership Seminar Chair, at zach.morris@hobywv.org. Your school guidance counselor or contact for the HOBY program should be able to put you in touch.

For Seminar Volunteers you will need to complete the below forms. You will only need to complete the Background Check form if you are over the age of 18. You need to complete all forms to be considered to come back on staff. Any issues please reach out to Andrew Shields @ andrew.shields@hobywv.org

Before filling out any West Virginia specific forms, please ensure you have submitted your HOBY International Application (the first form below). We will not be able to approve your HOBY West Virginia application without it, so to ensure a speedy approval, please fill that one out first.
